Who’s behind the lens?
I got my first camera when I was fifteen, after having worked hard and saved enough to make the long awaited purchase. First only a body and then later a lens. Since then photography has always played some role in my life, either as as an attention-seeking leading actor or it has only been in an inconspicuous supporting role. And yes, more often than I dare to admit, there have been nothing but those less glorious roles on offer.
Now I am thrilled to notice there is a scent of revival in the air again.
I am clearly reconnecting to the craft!
Hence this new site with a little, but growing, portfolio to share with you.
Over time I have learned not to be in search of technically perfect images but rather try to capture emotions raised by the scenes that I encounter. Unscripted, as it happens.
I frequently fail when trying to interpret and present my emotions, but occasionally in the streets I do get a tingling feeling that I just managed to get a shot with a story. Something worth sharing.
Those failures and successes are my most valuable learning experiences.
That is why I find photography so captivating and engaging!
Feedback?
This site is very much under construction and thus lacks a number of essential features, such as a feedback channel.
A possibility for constructive feedback may come later on.
