To me architecture culminates in a space with a purpose.

Spaces can be open, closed, public, hidden, man-made or created by nature.

Such spaces provide shelter and they can evoke emotions. They can be just utilitarian or at best created to influence the minds of living beings. They can be new, worn over time or even decayed. Wear and tear create layers and tell stories. And as always, the whole is built upon details.

That is why I am in search of the details to understand the whole.

Design, on the other hand, can be practically anything that is created based on an idea. It can be intuitive or carefully meditated.
